South Florida has so much to offer! We have tried to compile a variety of things to do, however, please understand that this list only scratches the surface of all the possibilities you have to keep you entertained and active!

Airboat Rides -- Holiday Park: Fun and informative airboat rides through the Everglades. You can also see the alligators and other animal encounters.

Blue Foot Pirate Adventures: A fun 90 minute children's pirate cruise down the Intracoastal.

Barbie Dream House Experience: Fun Experience for kids who like Barbie.

Bonnet House: Historic home and gardens, lots of art, tours available, gift shop on site, hosts community events.

BB&T Center: Major sporting events, Entertainment venue.

Broward Center for Performing Arts: Excellent entertainment venue.

Butterfly World: The first and largest butterfly garden in the U.S. Great for kids and adults.

Deering Estate: A 444 acre environmental, archaeological and historic preserve that offers daily tours of historic homes, hikes through the natural areas and more.

Disney World: No explanation needed here!

Dolphin Research Center: See and interact with dolphins and sea lions.

Fairchild Gardens: Beautiful gardens, lots of paths to explore, nice gift shop, exhibits, sculpture garden, cafe, great landscaping. You could easily spend 3+ hours here. Special events also hosted throughout the year.

Flagler Museum: Tour Whitehall, Henry Flagler's estate. a magnificent museum to see. Guided tours available.

Glass Bottom Boats: A unique look into the undersea world and an opportunity to see the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.

Green Cay Nature Preserve & Boardwalk: An outstanding nature center and 1.5 miles of elevated boardwalk. It is a great place to see tropical birds, turtles, ducks, alligators, etc. Free!

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park: Rent Jet Skis, Segways, Canoes, Bikes and more.

Jungle Queen Boat Ride: Enjoy a cruise down the "Venice of America," Fort Lauderdale's New River. Several cruises available - morning, afternoon and dinner cruises.

Kennedy Space Center: The visitor complex is organized into mission zones where attractions and tours are by chronological era. Fuel your quest for inspiration here!

Lion Country Safari: Enjoy a drive-through safari as well as walk through park. Over 900 animals, food, shopping, kids sprayground, animal feeding and more.

Monkey Jungle: Where the humans are caged and the monkeys get to run wild!

Morikami Gardens: Museum, beautiful gardens, shopping and dining. An authentic Japanese cultural experience that entertains, educates and inspires.

Museum of Science & Discovery: Spend a day of discovery, exploring two floors of fascinating interactive exhibits. Experience an IMAX film adventure. Snack bar and gift store available.

National Parks - Florida: Florida's 11 National Parks have much to offer. Check out the website and see how much you can explore!

Palm Beach Zoo: Take a walk on the wild side! Open 9-5 daily. There are 11 shows and talks each day.

Sea World Parks: Entertainment and learning for the kids. Visit one of the parks!

Stranahan House Museum: Built in 1901 by Frank Stranahan, he is credited as Fort Lauderdale’s founding father. A guided tour of the house museum is like a journey through time. Special events throughout the year, gift shop.

Swim with Manatees: Crystal River is the place to go to be able to swim with these amazing creatures. Several operators are available.  Here are just three of them.

Turtle Hospital: This is a small non-profit that is dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of endangered sea turtles and they do a fantastic job!  Open daily 9-6. Educational programs daily. A very worthwhile place to visit and learn!

Universal Studios: Jump into the action of your favorite movies. Theme park, rides, shows, events and more.

Vizscaya Museum and Gardens: A stunning American Villa, museum, gardens and events.  Be sure to enjoy high tea!

Wakodahatchee Wetlands & Boardwalk: Outstanding boardwalk that is about a .75 mile nature walk. See countless numbers of tropical birds, (some will likely be nesting) ducks, alligators turtles and more.  Free.
